Olal’Art is an art consulting company that manages art projects, curates exhibitions, and organises art events. They mainly focus on Chinese and French artists who do abstract art, art brut, and pop art. Olal’Art also gives consultation to anyone, families or private businesses, for suitable art pieces to decorate their homes, offices, or event spaces.
Additionally, Olal’Art provides workshops and guided tours to connect with the public about the art world and spread awareness of the artists’ thoughts through their artworks. Always exploring for new partnerships and collaborations, Olal’Art welcomes all who wish to pursue more artistic and cultural projects.

Our Story
Olal’Art started in November 2021, founded by Yanlin Chen and Joy Wei Fallenius. Both of them were born in Shanghai and therefore, shared similar cultural background which led them to bond quickly when they first met in London. They had kept in touch despite travelling to different countries such as Paris, Hong Kong, and Beijing until both of them finally settled down in Singapore during the pandemic.
Wanting to bring Chinese and French art cultures together, Yanlin approached her long-time and trusted friend, Joy, to set up Olal’Art with her in Singapore in order to do just that. As they are well-versed in adapting to new cultures from their travels, they are able to have different approaches for different cultures. This way, art appreciators will get to learn about the artists and the deeper meaning behind each artwork without the language barrier. The cultural significance that the artists expresses will be interpreted by Olal’Art in a way that people from other cultures can easily understand.
In line with this mission, the name Olal’Art was created. It is derived from the French word “ohlala” which is a word that the French use very often when they are pleasantly surprised or as a reaction to something intriguing. It is an impressionable name that people can easily remember and say out loud as well, thus, creating a fitting name that continues to intrigue people’s curiosity for art and surprising people with the Chinese and French art culture mix.
From dialogues to interviews, Olal’Art brings the questions of the art appreciators to the artist and provide the answers from different angles. People will find more interesting perspectives to a single artwork, whether it be good or bad. Just like how ordinary people may not understand an angel’s thoughts, Olal’Art hopes to be the messenger that can bridge this gap. Olal’Art wishes to build strong connections that are two-ways, where even the artist find themselves learning more about the people who look up to them.
