Artist Statement : “Love between nature and freedom”

In the past 40 years, various entanglements in spirit and consciousness have been unable to be resolved. The clichés of what to do and what to do have muddled the line of thinking. There is never a balance between extreme and moderate, and it is easy to get lost in the gorgeous and beautiful. In the sharp conflict between rhetoric and cruel reality, it is difficult to extricate oneself, and gradually leads to frenzy or depression. But when I juxtapose various related issues, meanings and imaginary images of nature and freedom, it seems to be a ray of light in the dark, calm and peaceful in the midst of anxiety. I vaguely feel that between nature and freedom, there is a new perspective to describe the complex and unpredictable world.

In the context of the internationalisation of world culture, although people and cultural spokespersons have different understandings and perceptions of nature and freedom, and the two words have broad meanings, they are the two cornerstones of discussing values. Especially in the spiritual narrative that can be expressed in contemporary Chinese, the fusion of nature and freedom seems to open up a relatively large space for discussion. Of course, my painting art is the visualisation of this space.

“Love nature, love freedom, and the overlapping parts of nature and freedom constantly generate spiritual sparks and spirituality of life.”
